Carolyn Anderson:
Portraiture artist
Carolyn’s classes are hugely popular, with fantastic class response and satisfaction. In fact, before we did any advertising at all this year, it was nearly half full. Call to sign up quickly. You will have competition because of the amazing word-of-mouth demand Carolyn’s workshop generates. Carolyn is not only a wonderful artist with her bold and direct approach to painting, but her teaching is similar. You will go away from this class with a feeling that your time was well spent and you learned a great deal.
Carolyn is an impressionist with a strong feeling of light, design and harmonious color. She is nationally recognized and accomplished in oil and pastel, and has an impressive list of awards and honors. Originally from the Chicago area, she attended school at Illinois State University, but ended up in Montana after a tour of service with the VISTA program there. She is included in many of the best shows in the nation, exhibits in numerous galleries, and has been featured in many national publications, including Southwest Art and Art of the West magazines.
If you are lucky enough to get into this class, your paintings should take a leap forward as you assimilate many of Carolyn’s techniques and teachings into your own work.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Carolyn will be working with live models throughout the week. You will explore the qualities of composition, value and color, with an emphasis on the use of contrast, rhythm and edges. Learn to interpret subject matter and to enjoy the spontaneity of alla prima painting. There will be daily demonstrations and as much individual instruction as possible.
TUITION: $575 - No additional model fees
