About us and our location
The Jackson Hole Art Academy is based at the Wilcox Gallery, located across the road from the National Elk Refuge and the beautiful "Sleeping Indian" mountain, seen above, and just three miles from Grand Teton National Park, seen below. Our neighbor, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, has plenty of inspiration for any artist. If you have some extra time during your visit, the south entrance to Yellowstone National Park is only about 50 miles away, offering extraordinary wildlife viewing and attractions at students' fingertips
You'll want to take time to browse through the many fine galleries in town as well. What a fabulous place to come to increase and fine-tune your artistic skills. We think you'll find that our classes are great, as we use only the best artists who have proven their teaching abilities! Most classes will see moose, elk, deer, eagles, antelope, coyotes, an occasional bear, and more. It's a wonderful package that is greatly enhanced by our location. Come and see for yourself!
