4 hours of art instruction - Jim first paints a 20" x 16" plein air painting and then returns to the studio to paint a 40" x 30" from the smaller plein air version. One camera shows him mixing his paints, another shows the canvas as he applies the paint, and the third shows Jim as he explains what he is doing and why he is doing it. After the filming of this video, Jim used this painting to do a 30" x 48" of the same scene, which later won the People's Choice Award and an Award of Merit from the Western Rendezvous of Art in Helena, Montana in August, 2006.
